The other day I was listening to North Brunswick and I heard a high speed chase going on. The police officer told dispatch that he was approaching New Brunswick and he wanted dispatch to notify New Brunswick and Edison that he was coming and to provide some assistance. The dispatcher told the cop that she going to put the call over county.

Is there a Freq for the county for emergencies like this or how does it normally work. Would the dispatcher pick up the phone and call New Brunswick or is there some type of computer system they use to notify the surronding areas. I know in the past there was a freq that I had and anytime something major took place they would notify the surronding areas via this freq that I no longer have.

If there is such a freq still would someone kindly pass that info on to me.

Thanks

James

The dispatcher has two Ways to go she can go over the county hotline which is 453.475 with a PL of 162.2 or go over spen 1 which is 154.6800 with Pl of 131.8 or she could pick up the phone to me radio is faster

Thanks for the info guys. I did do a search I just didn't know what or how to look for this. Once you said County Hotline, I realized that I have seen this but did not realize it served this purpose. THANKS AGAIN!!! As far as SPEN how did you locate that information or did you just know already.
