Hello, It has been a while since I have added any equipment to the Northwest Communications Center for Severe Weather. Today while shopping at a local Kroger Grocery Store on the Indianapolis Northwest Side in the reduced isle I found a brand new Midland HH54V still in the factory sealed package for $4.00. Runs on 3 "AA batteries and has a Mildland 9VDC 300MA plug in wal wart included in the package, I have it set up for Indianapolis NWS. I did find videos of this radio on youtube. Not bad for a Saturday and making a $4.00 find and brand new. If you have a Kroger store in your area you might check and see if you can pick on of these. Great SAME portable to have with you for NWS.

W9NES, that's a heck of good price----I have looked at that model off and on for a few years. Looks like a nice one (gets good reviews)---- I have so many now though, it would be impossible to even use another one! No Kroger's in my area, but at that price I WOULD get one. I picked up the RS portable S.A.M.E. radio (the red one) , on Amazon for $12 (new in the box) , while RS still had them for $50, about 2 months ago. Nice find, Mike

Haley, Thanks for the kind remarks, 2 years back I bought 10 Midland WX-100'S that were new in the box from Kroger on closeout at $5.00 a piece. You can always find good deals and they are out there. You just have to know where to find them.
