I'm in a volunteer department right now, southeast Texas. I am going into Houston Fire Department soon. I have the Bryx mobile paging app, and you can put custom pager tones on there. I was wondering if I could find HFD fire station tones for my paging. I need something to get used to waking up to so as a rookie I don't miss a good fire, plus, our tones suck after switching from IamResponding to Bryx. I've missed a few calls at my volunteer spot because of the bryx paging. I saw someone asking if HFD has pagers a while back, and their frequency. I don't have a pager, just a phone. I can't find anything on the station tones, way I can recreate it, etc. I thought this place would be good because its filled with nerds. If you wonder what the fire tones are, its on broadcastify, houston fire-digital. You'll hear fire tones in a little bit. I downloaded Audacity to see if I could create it, but chatgpt couldn't help. My volunteer place has the same tones, ems and fire. I just can't find that same one, everyone has those weird long and short, then lots of beeps with their pagers. If someone could help, I'd be greatful.

Great way to come in and ask for help by calling everyone nerds.

HFD probably doesnt use tones like the way your volunteer department does. They dont have pagers. The tones are just audio and the station alerting is done over IP and relays in the station. Good luck kid

Don't really know what your problem is. I don't use the term nerds as a negative trait. I already stated I know they don't have pagers. The end goal was if I could find those same station tones. Our county uses the same tones over radio. You completely misread or just straight up ignored me. You were so furious about me saying the word nerd that you went ahead and just made that a whole thing. Hope you feel happy about your post, chud.

In that case, you should ask HFD for information about how you can be alerted. A hobby radio forum is not the place to look for professional emergency response details like this. After all, we are just a bunch of nerds. Thread locked.
