I have 154.205, which used to be MWCFire dispatch, with tone-out and call, programmed. I am no longer hearing the call, only the tone out. Is the call no longer able to be heard? I have the OKWIN TG, 855.7375 and 155.205 put in but I’m not hearing anything on the call, just everything else.

You will need at trunk-tracking digital scanner. SDS100 is very good for this purpose. Download RR Database and you will be fixed up.

I have an SDS100, 200, BCD436 and 536! Everything is programmed correctly. I’m just not hearing the initial dispatch call on the incident. I’m hearing the tones, I’m hearing the company response, just not hearing the actual voice of the dispatcher putting the call out!

Call the MCFD and ask them why you cannot hear all the transmission. I think they use an optional encryption but my SDS100 and my HP II both receive everything without having to purchase the upgrade.

855.7375, DCS 244? I just heard a call go out…heard the tones, then silence, then the responding engine company. No dispatcher.

I just turned off the PL and now I hear dispatch. DCS244 occasionally flashes while the dispatcher is talking.

Do you have the PL programmed as well? I've discovered that if I remove the DCS244 and just leave it open, I can hear the dispatcher, and the pl of DCS244 flashes intermittently, so I'm wondering if I was having the issue because I wasn't able to receive the tone fully.

I have the DPL set on Rx and I have no issues hearing it but I am also using a commercial radio to monitor.

Commercial radios are much more sensitive as they are built for specific frequency ranges.
