MWC Emergency Services Receives State 800 MHz Interoperable Communication System
"Midwest City is joining a growing number of Oklahoma communities that now can communicate on the statewide 800 MHz radio system. Utilizing a grant of $1.5 million from the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) City officials purchased tower equipment, handheld radios, mobile radios and applicable accessories that are needed to communicate on the system. The City of Midwest City also invested nearly $100,000 to purchase handheld radios for the city’s dispatch center."
