This might be a good place to get started. It has not been updated in a while but it might get you off and running.

Yes, you aren't near any bases really... But you should still hear transitional stuff. You're right on the border of Chicago Center and Kansas City Center. Try and track down the UHF freqs for those and you should hear some stuff each day.
