Military Monitoring In San Diego County

Hello All,

I have just resurrected my old Pro-43. I have one bank remaining that is unfilled.

What are some of the "must have" freq's that I should include in that last bank? I live in the Northern San Diego Mountains. I've noticed that we are on a flight path, because during the day or late evening, we experience some helo fly by's going East bound.

Apart from the milcom list on QTH.net, probably your next best bet would be the SoCal Milcom Yahoo group. Get a good handheld antenna and enjoy. 73s Mike

Hi Mike,

I tried to subscribe to the Yahoo group, but waited 14 days for acceptance and was rejected when my membership request just sat there, unacknowledged!

I replaced the stock antenna with the Diamond RH77CA and up here in the mountains, it works very well throughout the Pro-95's spectrum! How well it does from 220-400 MHz on the Pro-43 remains to be seen.
