I am in the process of programming my Unication G4 for the Milwaukee City Fire talkgroups. I see there are a lot of TAC tg's. Can anybody advise what TG's I need to program in to hear MFD? I see fire dispatch - my goal is to hear where the fire calls are at. Thanks in advance for the info!

Obviously the main dispatch TG is the one most important have on there. Seems like MFD has more than enough TG's at their disposal. Probably a good idea just to program them all.

You will want to program in Fire Dispatch along with (mainly) the "Talkgroup (Tac) 2" and "Talkgroup (Tac) 3" of each profile. These are used for Fire Response.

I have a G5 as well and have most tgs and cc's in the site for Milwaukee fire. Do they have any "2 tone out" tgs or freqs where we can hear what the stations' intercom says?

I don't think so. MFD has always dispatched over "landline" methods and never toned out over the air so this practice has obviously carried over onto this system. If someone knows otherwise please let us know.

Milwaukee Fire units are verbally dispatched on the MWFDISP talkgroup 3393. No alert tones are used on this talkgroup.

MCPAGB, talkgroup 1355 on OASIS, is set aside for City of Milwaukee Fire paging via ISSI link. However this talkgroup has not been implemented and is not used for this purpose currently.

The forthcoming City of Milwaukee 700Mhz P-25 system may result in changes to this current practice. We will have to wait and see.

True that they do dispatch over the air when the respective units are out and about but they still use the landline system for units in quarters.
Always a good idea to keep those TG's on your scanner just in case.
