Any idea when the Mke Co fire departments will be switching over to the new dispatching system? Meaning Area A, Area B and so on. Will it just be paging and all other coms will be handled on local channels as it was in the past or are they doing what Waukesha Co does? Any insight would be appreciated.

This is the first I have heard of this. So in other words a defacto county wide department with a few zones?

If this helps, West Allis dispatches on TG 1357 which is listed as area C and not part of the West Allis listing. Perhaps it's a good idea to program all of the county FD TG's so you'll be ready when they change over.
BTW, they test this everyday at 8:00am and it includes a musical 4 note chime.

The area assignments follow the old 453.3750 county emergency government frequency.

Zone A Bayside / Brown Deer / Fox Point / Glendale / River Hills / Shorewood / Whitefish Bay
Zone B City of Milwaukee
Zone C Wauwatosa / West Allis / Village of West Milwaukee
Zone D Franklin / Greendale / Greenfield / Hales Corners
Zone E Cudahy / Oak Creek / Saint Francis / South Milwaukee

On the OASIS system, Zone C and Zone E are currently active, both for individual agency dispatching and for mutual aid runs (especially for EMS coverage).

The zone coverage information above is courtesy of the www.wisconsinradio.org website.
