• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have tried the software on 2 different computers with different operating systems and cannot get the two tone data to write to the pager, can't save the two tone data, all I can get to write is the frequency. Definitely a Motorola software issue. They supposedly released a version 1.2 according to the release notes but when you download the software it it still the 1.1 version. This is garbage. I have had no problems with Unification. If you are programming two tones I would test them before you ship them to customers.
That's not good! I just triple checked and the program took the data. Thankfully this customer is very diligent about testing everything so we'll know if the device itself had any issues taking the data. Thank you for the heads up!

You can download the Minitor 7 CPS R0102 from the UCC Wireless website. It is definitely version R01.02 as I downloaded and installed it on my computer and the "Help" "About CPS" in the program confirms version R01.02.

I have also attached the release notes for version R01.02 in case anyone is interested in what has been changed/updated. Per the release notes: "Please uninstall the previous version of MINITOR 7 CPS before installing the new one."
Interesting; the Motorola product page with the software download has the release notes doc for R01.02...but the available CPS is still R01.01...the UCC Wireless download that you mentioned confirmed as the updated R01.02 by installing it. Dealer Portal does not have this CPS available as it is public so there's no way to check if there's a "verified" Motorola approved way to download besides the product page....but the updated CPS was "published" on the 15th of October (About CPS window) and released on October 24th (Release Notes Doc) of 2024...absurd how late they are. They did add a startup splash screen and a couple new toolbar options. I guess we'll see if this solves the issues.
