I am just wondering if there are any Minnesota Home Patrol HP-1 Users here that have done the Extreme Upgrade? If so, what features do you find to be the most useful? I have considered this from time to time since even before getting my HP-1. However, being a typical tight wad ham radio operator, I decided to wait and see if I needed it or just wanted it. I typically use my HP-1 mobile and haven't really found a need yet for that application. I guess what sort of interests me now is the raw data output option and its applications with certain software. It might be fun to tune in MOTO TRBO via the HP-1 and computer software, but as a practical matter I am sort of hard pressed to come up with any MOTO TBO users that I really want to monitor!
Anyway, if anybody here in Minnesota has done the Extreme Upgrade, was it worth it to you? And, if you are feeding data into a PC application, perhaps even UniTrunker, what have you like about that?
