I just received my 898T the other day. I programmed in two Motorola II trunking systems....Chicago Police and County jail. To test the radio I programmed the exact same frequencies, in the same order into a Pro-95. The first thing I noticed that a lot of times the 898T keeps scanning while the 95 locks on a signal. Also, when the Bearcat does lock on a transmission it misses the response. Sometimes it misses it completely, but if the response is long enough it will pick it up but several seconds AFTER the 95.
Is it something I am doing or does it sound like the radio is defective?
