Looked at feeds that cover Atlantic City NJ FD concerning a fire the morning of December 29 and the time block 752 am to 920 am is missing. Why?

I did report this thru the feed provider some time ago but never received a reply.

It is a common occurrence, we see reports of this all the time in the forums. It can happen for many reasons.

TY for your response. Unfortunate that it is a "common occurrence" considering that access to feed achieves is advertised by RR as a premium subscriber perk.

Feeds are provided by volunteers who are not required to provide continuous feeds, they are subject to equipment issues and power outages, among many more things. Being a feed provider for many years I have experienced almost all of the above listed issues.

RR does not advertise access to uninterrupted feeds, they advertise access to feeds available. The missing archives is not a fault of RR but rather feed issues on behalf of the volunteer, unpaid, feeders.

Well you did what you needed to do. As you may or may not know feeds are provided with individuals with their own scanners using their own computers & internet connections so expect outages from time to time. Also not all feed providers keep an eye on this forum so you may not get a response here. Speaking as a former feed provider myself there are several typical reasons feeds go down:
  • Loss of power / internet at feed provider's location
  • Computer crash / system updates
  • Power issue with the scanner itself
  • Others I haven't touched upon

Have you tried reviewing Broadcastify Calls?
