Does Gosnell have a police force any more or is it handled by Blytheville or Mississippi Cty.I used to sell radios in NE Ark and sold to Gosnell. In the database, Gosnell is not listed. Anybody know.??

Submit their info to the db if you know it. That is the only way agencies get listed in the db is via submissions.

I dug through the FCC filings for Mississippi County, and I found that the frequencies of 453.875 and 453.975 are registered to the City of Gosnell. I took the address given in the FCC file, and searched for the location in Google Earth, then I switched to Street View in Google Earth. Lo and behold, folks, it is the Gosnell Police Department! Plug those frequencies into your scanner and try them. I'll bet that either one or both of those frequencies are the Gosnell Police that you're looking for. Five minutes of sleuthing, and I found it.

You're welcome.

453.8750 Repeater out, NFM (Police Dept most likely!) (Only 25 Watts output so not gonna hear this one far off!)
458.8750 Repeater input.
453.9750 Repeater out, FM, and NFM (Betchya that Fire Dept.!) (Only 30 Watts output, so not very far on range!)
458.9750 Repeater input.

Both these repeaters are low power compared to most systems being at least 100 Watts output power! Heck, most mobile radios run 40 Watts!

I LOOKED IN THE DATABASE BUT FORGOT TO CHECK THE FCC LISTINGS. I sold then HT's, Yaesu VX-10's with a keypad, so they had scramble capability. Northwest Arkansas , at that time was big into scrambling. Most of the scrambling was not compatible with an agency near by. As flat as Gosnell was, or is, 25 to 30 watts covered everything they had to cover. I think Gosnell has taken over security for the old AFB, as its now owned by the Lutheran Church, where they use the housing as retirement homes. Pretty nice digs, golf course on the base, 12,000 foot runway, shopping near by, weather not too bad.
