I was listening to the 800-mhz band in Fort Erie and I came across a frequency with some kind of data noise on it I‘m sure it‘s from Buffalo NY, I don’t know what kind of system it is but on the FCC site it says, 851.7375 is Mobile Relay Interconnect /Federal Express. Every time someone starts to talk the data noise disappears and you can hear the audio/voice perfect. Is the noise some kind of marker or is there some how to set this up as a Trunked System ??.

That 'noise' is the data transmitted to & from those little 'electronic pen' things that the Fed-Ex people use for scanning the packages when they are delivered. Ya know, like those big bulky clip-board looking things that UPS uses when you sign for a package.

Not that I'm aware of. If they are using a PL/DPL tone on the voice portion, that might be one way. But, I don't know if they do or not.
