Modify Uniden BC296D Can we?

Hi guys , does anyone know what`s in this radio ? Any ways to be modify picking up illegally frequency?That`s gonna be more cool .Can I modify my Uniden Bc296D somehow if i take out this digital card APCO P -25 or if i take apart this radio? I catch some home phones probably cordless but i do not know they are digital or analog? How much this card APCO has possibilities pickiing up illegally?
