Does anyone know where Mohawk Ambulance's Schenectady dispatch went? It was on 155.235, but I have not heard anything recently.

I wonder if they went to PTT over cellular? Because it seemed like they had it patched to PTToC for some time, as you could hear them make remarks here and there about radio or cellular traffic.

It sounds like they are simulcasting their PTToC over their VHF channels, however, their VHF stations (especially 155.235) have become very difficult to receive. I know 155.235 used to be located on Crawford Hill in Rotterdam, but now I wonder if they took that remote base down and relocated it to their actual dispatch point. The 154.055 repeater that is (or was) on Pinnacle Mountain seems 'hit or miss' signal wise. It would not surprise me if MAS just turns all of their VHF equipment off at some point, especially if it is not needed anymore.

I VOX recorded all of the previously listed VHF and UHF channels for Mohawk and only caught activity on 154.055 (Albany/Rensselaer). I know most of those channels were intended as TACs, so that particular result doesn't really prove anything.

There is dispatch activity on 155.235 for Schenectady again...but it's on the dispatcher side only. I have not heard any field units.

Based on my observation and others' posts here, I would say that they were off the air for RF completely for a little while, and are now back with simplex transmissions of some kind. Either all transmissions are RF simplex (although I have to hear a response, even weak)...or what seems more likely is they went to PTToC, and then decided to add back in a dispatcher-side simul-select for some reason (and probably not via Crawford since Kevin said it's hard to hear and Dave can't hear it at all).
