I have a number of systems near me that my Uniden SDS100 shows as Capacity Plus, Connect Plus, DMR Tier III and Hytera XPT.

If I try to monitor them conventionally by scanning the RF frequency, Time Slot and Talkgroup ID, how will it work out?

I assume not very well. What would happen if I program a system this way? Will the rest channel/control channel prevent the scan function from monitoring the voice traffic?

Yes and you'll have to scroll past or avoid said rest or control channels in order to log any traffic on the voice channels. Best to program as MotoTRBO trunked with correct LCNs and color code(s) to ensure the systems trunk track properly
