After upgrading to 1.11.07, my '325P2 now works on the above mentioned DMR Tier III system, when before the update, it didn't work at all.

However, it isn't perfect. It will sometimes scan past active talkgroups without stopping, when comparing the same system on DSD+ Fastlane.

Don’t forget about simulcast. It could be the reason the 325P2 isn’t catching it all.

And my assumption that eliminating all but the closest “site” will improve your chances is incorrect. I’ve come to understand a “site” can be composed of numerous transmission locations within a “site”. It may not just be one location the transmission is coming from, but instead, additional transmission locations, locally within the “site”. And that’s where the simulcast issue raises its ugly head… each location is transmitting at the same time but slightly off simultaneously (due to different distances between the originating signal is produced and the transmitting antennas it is using). Each transmission gets to its various antenna locations at differing times, micro seconds apart… and that is what may cause a loss of signal… because the 325P2 is not a software defined radio like the SDS100/200 or the Unication G5 pager is (which use a microprocessor to better capture only one of the simulcast transmissions.) Corrections are welcomed.

I don't think this system is simulcast. There are five sites, each one has its own frequencies and control channel. And each site is only at one location.

This is because the BCD325P2 does not recognize the DMR Tier 3 Capacity Max late entry messages. I have the same problem on a local DMR T3 system and it can make listening to multiple talkgroups challenging. I have made @JoeBearcat aware of this before, so it is likely only a matter of time before Uniden fixes it.

Hopefully Uniden will address this issue.

Do you know if this late entry issue also affects the SDS100 and SDS200?

I don't recall any T3s here where I am, so i cant tell you how well my SDS100 handles them. A few Cap+ ones, though.
