Monitoring Georgia DNR

Appreciate any frequencies/advice for monitoring DNR Fish and Game officers.

Hey Guy,

Most of the law enforcement activity is within the National Forests and is thereby done by the Feds. US Forest Rangers law freq. especially in North Ga (don't know about the rest of the state) will be found on 168.775 may see a pl tone of 136.5

Ga. Forestry like the fire watch division and general workers can be found on 151.400

Both of these services are simplex

Ga. DNR does the law enforcement on the big lakes like Lanier ect....and I don't have a freq. for them as I have no need to monitor the lake patrols but I would like to have their freqs anyway.

Georgia Dept of Natural Resources

Georgia's DNR patrols West Point Lake which is a Corp of Engineers Lake.

This RR database under Georgia state listings does show several of the frequencies used by DNR. They use a variety of channels on both on repeaters and simplex. Each area will have its own squelch tone (PL).

Also the www.ScanAtlanta.com site has Georgia frequencies including DNR.

DNR officers also have the capability to switch onto the desired county's sheriff dept channels. They do that commonly here in Troup Co / Lagrange, GA as they patrol West Point Lake.

I just found DNR LE on 151.22, PL 123.0, this weekend for the Lake Jackson area. Had also heard a couple calls from a mobile unit calling Stockbridge over the past couple weeks.
