Monitoring NHP/Nevada Shared system in Boise

Is there any possibility of being able to monitor the Nevada Shared Radio System or NHP from the Boise area? Just given the close proximity and it being a statewide system it seems possible, but iv never had any luck with it. Wondering if anyone else has had any luck with it at all, or knows where to point me to

Program the closest site to you and see if you can receive it. Usually 40 miles is about the maximum range.

I haven't heard of anyone monitoring the Nevada system from Boise, but I'm not in Boise either. The nearest transmitter for the Nevada System is near Owyhee in Elko county which is more than 100 miles from Boise. That's too for far for the 800 mhz frequencies to be received, especially with mountains in between.

Shoot I couldn't get the Wendover site from the other side of the GSL....and that's flat line of sight
