Anyone else notice what sounded like Sable Altura responding code 3 to assist Denver FD at the tanker fire I-270 and I-70 this morning? DTRS id 4121. Seemed really weird but the engine said they were on landline with Denver dispatch as such.

Also has anyone noticed what seems to be the increase in traffic reporters? I have been hearing like eight UHF frequencies all active each morning and afternoon in the metro area. Seems like it’s not just Metro Traffic fixed wing with Jim Todd and KUSA chopper any longer. On the air to air 123.075 and 123.025 it appears to be a regular air traffic control operation.

I picked up the 1st traffic on those freq's myself this morning,
I'm glad I'm not the only one surprized or interested by it.

Two frequencies which are pretty interesting from Phil’s list include:

161.730 (KOA Chopper open mike) and 450.1625 KCNC broadcast live for the drive time, it’s like watching TV in the car.

Does anyone really know the breakdown of actual planes and helicopters, real names versus on the air names and such?

KDVR Fox 31 Chopper
KWGN Channel 2 Chopper
KCNC News 4 Chopper
KMGH Denver’s 7 Chopper (rarely up at drive time)
KUSA Channel 9 Chopper (also carries KOA traffic bimbo)
Metro Traffic Fixed Wing Jim Todd “Robin Commons” (Numerous stations)

Is 123.075 no longer the dispatch for the Aurora medical choppers (Air Life?)?

Jerry

Yes 123.025 is Denver traffic

123.075 is AirLife but the medicals helicopters chat there

130.150 is Flight for Life.

Excellent. I was going to ask you what the freq's were for these news sites. Sounds like a lot of information could be gathered from those.
