There is some cross-lake tropoducting on Lake Erie today. Since Canadian National is on strike I am listening in on the CN Dundas and CP Galt Subs on Broadcastify to see how trains were moving. Interestingly I am hearing Norfolk Southern in Ohio approximately 125 miles south of Dundas Ontario. The CN Dundas Subdivision runs from Bayview west to London Ontario. NS dispatcher is talking to 72R on the NS Youngstown Line with references to CP "Carson" and CP "Denmark".
2:04 'Lake Erie' caught my attention. Dispatch says this is off the Painesville base. Seconds later the response is "that's weird".
2:38 Dispatch is getting irritated with all the radio noise and tells the train to switch to 32 because of the situation. He says the radios are messed up.
2:59 dispatch talking to 72R and says "I'm surprised how quick CSX lined you guys up". (72R is leaving Ashtabula Oh)
3:24 Lake Erie heard again.
3:30 Dispatcher: "alright 72R, let's go south on signal indication".
4:00 Okay 72R where's that helper cutting away at? South of Carson?
4:11 dispatch prefers he cut off south of Carson. (train is experiencing trouble with enough power including a helper)
4:16 Dispatcher: whats that power on C63? Can I get that lead engine. (C63 - Conneaut Switcher)
4:25 72R, I talked to the chief and lets keep em rolling to Youngstown with the helper on if you can.
4:32 72R is now stopped.
4:44 Lake Erie answering over. 72R lets swap markers and see if that works.
4:55 Dispatcher: permission past the red at CP Denmark, lets get them in the siding. It's already been 2 hrs and 45 minutes and the radio situation is terrible, I can hardly hear you.
