Anyone know what's going on with Montague pd? The frequency that I have programmed into my scanner has started receiving strange sounds, have they gone to tdma? Any info would be helpful, thank you.

Anyone know if Montague PD has gone tdma or encrypted, not hearing any transmissions other than weird sounds on the current frequency.
If its a Buzzing for a second then a burst of static sounding Data it could be P25
if its more a Motor Boating sound it could be DMR TRBO.

The City Of New Bedford Is P25 and the city Services are DMR so Im basing
my observations on this.

The sound is like a fire tone, no voice at all.

Toby "2" is on 460.6000, 156.7 tone. Also patched to TG 2304 if you're monitoring CoMIRS.

CoMIRS TG 2298 relies on an analog patch from their primary UHF that's down right now. See my last post above (now that it cleared the mod queue) for both UHF and CoMIRS info on their current Mt Toby channel. Their traffic is sporadic but I've heard activity several times today.

Slight corrections to those CoMIRS additions:

2302 (Toby 1) is used for FD ops, not PD. Shelburne control sends out tones on both FD simulcast and Toby 1 when requesting departments near Mt. Toby.
2306 (Shelburne) is the same as above, though lack of a secondary frequency might suggest it be labeled as dual FD/PD use. In recent monitoring I've never heard it used for PD and Shelburne FD has been using it instead of the regular county simulcast.

Just heard over FRCOG Fire simulcast that "Montague UHF 1" is back up and available. I'm picking up barely recognizable transmissions from downtown Greenfield but I think that's to be expected. It at least sounds like voice traffic now.
