More Quebec info discussions

Well I joined the Quebec infoscan forum.
My french absolutely sucks! I did post a greeting to the group en francais but I am hoping that the good members of that group can help me out in the 'grade 9 french.' or in english.
I grew up in Montreal and go back occasionally and wouldnt mind listening to the new trunked systems in Montreal hence the membership.
I really wish we had a good french education system in place back in the 70's and 80's, we did not really have to learn french in my area. Sadly, it now would come in handy for me and others on here.

the problem with highschool french is you don't learn to speak Quebecois

Ya, our french teachers were generally anglos. One couldnt speak english, nor could he speak french. He learned his french when he was in a DP camp in New Brunswick in WW2, he was from Europe.
Growing up in a 99% anglo district where french was never spoken (we were more English than you anglos in Ontario and west) = unilingual me
