Morris County MIRS in 396T

Hello,


Ive attempted to program this system in my 396T and am not able to recieve a control channel.

I programmed it with base/offset. I turned off control channel only and put in all voice and control frequencies. I entered the known talkgroups. Did I do it right?

Im operating with a scantenna from Bergen Co...am I out of range maybe?

You help would be very appreciated.

You may be out of range.

There are two separate simulcast systems (Zones 1 & 2). Try loading just the eight control channel frequencies as conventional channels to see if you can receive them.

My guess if you can receive the system it would most likely be the northern zone (Zone 2)

Try a yagi, like this (or similar):

point it at Morris County and you may do better.
