Sorry I had the Jail and Court frequencies reversed! They should be:

The Jail freq will be changing as it is interfering with one of the channels on the SmartZone system. Not sure when they will be changing it.

I see that the Morris County TRS page in the RR Database was updated yesterday. I noticed that the talkgroups that were added are very odd. The hex values are completly wrong and decimal values don't seem to be valid. Anyone know if any of that is confirmed?

The new tgs posted in the rr forums are WRONG. First, there is no SPEN tg. MCREDS and MGLE 1 thru 3 are being deleted from the system as they are not going to be used. Also the decimal and hex values are both wrong.

I notice that the Sheriff's Department and Park Police both have an unknown simplex frequency as Channel 5 in their radios. Could they both be using the same frequency for Channel 5?

RocketNJ has all of his information correct, however I did see in a JV Detention and a Sheriff's radios those TG's. Channels 8 - 10 were listed as MGLE1 - 3, and the following I also remebered:

19 - SPEN
20 - MCREDS (Morris County Regional Emergency Deployment System)

I am positive that SPEN has been patched from 154.6800 into Ch-19 (TRS) and I would guess that MCREDS (151.05500 159.06000 WBZ331 RM 173.8 PL) is patched over also. BUT like I said Rocket gets a ton of info from somewhere, so he most likely knows where the system is headed.

I know that the County Comm Center will still be dispatching for 5 towns after the switch and I would assume that MGLE 1 thru 3 would be used by these towns (Mendham Boro, Mt Arlington, Netcong, Rockaway Boro, and Wharton) Rocket any feedback??

It looks like whoever submitted the information to the database confused the channel numbers with the talkgroup IDs.

The original programming of Sheriff and Park PD units has the McReds and MGLE talkgroups. They will be getting reprogrammed to remove those and add the MIRS talkgroups.

If/when towns start coming onto the system for dispatching they will have programming unique for their needs. The MIRS talkgroups will be the interop communications between local and county units.

Not sure if this is the replacement frequency but it looks like Morris County was recently licensed for 453.8125 and have a repeater too.

Whether this will be the replacement frequency for the current jail one remains to be seen or I should say heard. I haven't have a chance to verify if it is in use yet.
