Rode my BCD-535HP with a GPS connected to it to try location based scanning last Saturday (July 30th). Bought a Larsen LARSEN model NMO-150/450/800 from HRO, put it on a spare mag mount and put that on the roof of my car.
Best $29.95 I've invested in scanning ! Had the range set to 15 miles and was hearing 800 systems 25 miles away and 150 systems about 35 miles away. It worked as well as any antenna would at 5' elevation. Hard to beat for the price, IMHO.

BTW, the location based scanning technology in the '535 worked very, very well and made for an interesting ride.
