Nothing fancy, seems to work for me most of the time.

Thanks for all the reply's. I really enjoy spending time in the shack after the kids and wife go to bed. The clock, yes definitely a bit too big. I have a smaller 12 inch clock but i couldn't fit the plug for the air conditioner behind the smaller one. There is a electrical outlet behind there to power the AC and the clock. I didn't want wires hanging down the wall.

I haven't had that Ten Tec but for about 2 months now. If anyone is in the market for a HF rig, please take a look at the Orion. It is one phenomenal rig. Hopefully it will last me my lifetime, because the wife will never let me spend that kind of money again on a, as she says, "damn radio thingy".

I just love how the Ten Tec Orion thumbs it's nose at Icom, Kenwood and Yaesu with it's TWO big tuning knobs!

The clock is most definitely very "old school"- certainly takes me back to the classroom!

Very good setup!

Very nice! Simple, clean, effective. PSK, and CW, nice paddles.

But do you always listen to repeater inputs? :D

Thanks for the reply. No i don't normally listen to repeater inputs. Here in the St.Louis area 147.600 is a simplex frequency that a lot of our club members use for DX spotting. Guess they have been doing that for 20 plus years now. There is no repeater in our area on 147.000 so we are not causing any interference. One of the repeater clubs here in the area are trying to get some of their members more involved in HF activities and has setup a 440 link to our little DX spotting group, that has worked out really nice so far. Not to mention our club doesn't have to maintain any of that equipment, pretty cool deal. A few of us in our club have setup separate stations so we can invite new hams and hams not familiar with HF over for a little HF fun, just so they can see what they are missing. I have a Kenwood TS-850 setup at another small desk right behind my operating position. It is set up for CW, SSB, and digi modes. I have had quite a few new guys over and it seems once they get to actually see how much fun it can be ragchewing, contesting, dxing, etc they start getting excited about either upgrading their licenses or starting to put together an HF station of their own.

Sorry to start babbling on like that. Thanks again for the reply. Have a great rest of the week.

Edit: The paddles are made by K8RA. They look really nice and work really well. I have a Bencher BY-1 and a Vibroplex Code Warrior and this paddle works much better in my opinion. http://www.k8ra.com

Funny, i found two boxes of those clocks at a garage sale a few years ago. A box of 15 inch clocks and a box of 12 inch clocks. Think i payed 20 dollars for both boxes. I may still have a few 12 inchers left over if anyone wants one. They keep super accurate time. I will dig through some stuff and see if i can find them. If i find them your more than welcome to one. I will look for them this weekend and post back here if i fine them.

Thanks for the reply.

Oh yes i love my Ten Tec's. Have had a few of the other brands but keep coming back to Ten Tec. The only thing i don't like about the radio is it's not very portable. Might be a K3 in my future if i can convince he wife that i just can't live without it. If it keeps me out of the bars she is usually game for that :)

By the way i will pay top dollar for a Ten Tec 6n2'er. If anyone has one laying around.

So fresh and so clean! I like that setup. Ten Tec, especially their software defined radios, have always been my favorite to see in action. Their screens and surrounding buttons always reminded me of the signal generators and analyzers I used in college.

I also like your CW paddle.
