• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

hello everyone, I’m trying to program some APX radios over Wi-Fi. I have radio management version 33 software all of my radios consist of Motorola Apex 6000 and 900 I’m able to pull radio management up and everything and get the radios connected to Wi-Fi but the radio will not be read over Wi-Fi only over the cable, the message radio management has the whole time is running waiting on device if anybody can help me with this issue to where I can read and write my radios over Wi-Fi, that would be much appreciated!

Have you followed instructions for Wi-Fi?

Procedure: 1. Set up an operational Wi-Fi Access Point.

NOTE: The radio must be connected to an operational Wi-Fi Access Point to program the radio through Wi-Fi connection.

2. Connect a Device Programmer (DP) to the operational Wi-Fi access point.

NOTE: The Device Programmer must be installed on a machine with network (LAN) connection to the Wi-Fi Access Point. If the Out-of-the-Box Wi-Fi Provisioning option (QA09001/GA09001) has been ordered along with the radios, please refer to the Out-of-the-Box Provisioning Over Wi Fi to review the steps to initially provision the radios over Wi-Fi in a secure manner.

3. Add radios to Radio Management with the Radio Management Client (RMC).

4. Schedule a read job for the radios with RMC.

5. Configure the CPS Wi-Fi related fields to enable Wi-Fi programming.

The following fields values must be configured in CPS:
● Wi-Fi Enable
● Network Priority
● Encrypted Network Password
● Network SSID
● Security Type

6. Schedule a write job for the radios with RMC. NOTE: Connection Method field must be set as USB + Wireless (LAN)to support Wi-Fi Connection.

7. Connect each radio to the Device Programmer (DP) with USB cable to program the radio. After the programming is complete, you can connect the radio to the Wi-Fi hotspot

If he is missing QA09001/GA09001 options, Not will work
Incorrect. Only need wifi in the radio, SSID setup and PW entered. If its conencting to the hotspot/ap and gets an IP on the same network as the DP it should pull the radio in (if auto provision is turned on). If the radio is already in RM, then create a read job and it should read once its connected. You can also try to ping said radio IP from the DP. Again should be on same flat L2 network.

You can't have client isolation active on the AP either.
