Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello.

I currently have a Motorola XPR7550 VHF portable radio. I purchased the MOTOTRBO Advanced Features FPP/OTA from North Georgia Communications and need help installing it. They gave me an ID and password to go along with it and TRBOLabs CPS 5_0. Every time I go to read the radio using that software, it has an error saying "Operation Error". Now I also have the MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0, and I can read my radio and do everything just fine.

How do I go about installing this? I am unsure what to do, and nothing has worked for me. If someone is able to help me step by step, that would be awesome. My cable is a Motorola cable and everything, I just can't figure out where to go to attach this advanced features option.

Thanks!

What did North Georgia Communications say when you contacted them about this?

Nowhere do I see Depot mentioned in the original post.

The software that was mentioned probably is 3rd party software for communicating with the FPP firmware in the option board.

From my very brief bit of research, TRBOLabs is an Italian company that manufactures these FPP boards. It's not the Lab software that you might be familiar with and referring to
