This is probably a very simple thing to do, but I don't want to mess up my programming by doing something stupid.

Last night I was using quick save to enter TGID names in place of the TGID number. The scanner saves these in a quick save group. The TGs I added were found using the ID search on a trunked system already in the scanner, and can logically be added to that group. How to I get the new channel from the quick save group into the proper group under the system. I have used Freescan to program the scanner and am now dabbling with manually changing things. Is the quick save group something that can be downloaded into Freescan and manipulated like any other system/group.

Thanks everyone. I am finding this forum quite useful as I navigate through learning my scanner (soon to be scanners...I have a BCD396XT coming soon.)

Copy-n-paste. Highlight the new channel use CTRL-C, change to the group you want it located, and hit CTRL-V
(CTRL-C and CTRL-V are basic Windows commands for COPY and PASTE)

Or you can access COPY and PASTE in the EDIT menu in FreeScan.

Thanks, Joe. Is there an easy way to do this without using Freescan? I guess I forgot to ask that in the original post. :(
