None of these maps show who or what is affiliated to who.

It does actually. Look at the key, then follow zone core uplinks and downlinks to neighboring sites up until the next TMN Break Path. Those are your zones. Each County is connected to all of their peers in their zone. It will show zone peers, but not necessarily the site peers.

Correct. Because if a county next to Detroit, for example, were to carry all of its talkgroup traffic without having enough voice traffic channels to cover everything, it would saturate the entire counties radio system. Some talk groups carry over to neighboring counties, some dont.

That's the point I was originally trying to make but I guess it wasn't clear.

Generally I have found neighbor counties will carry county police, county fire, EMS dispatch at least, but not individual cities or proprietary talkgroups.

If you click on each Tower under the column, "Name" what shows up are "Site neighbors" lists.

Heres a Question, When i do a trunked search on a tower thats say 20 miles away from me i get nothing in 8 hours but if i search a tower thats 5-10 miles away i get hit from the area of the tower i got nothing from?????

What are you asking? What type of search are you running? Are you receiving the CC of the distant site? Is that site live? (Meaning actually carrying traffic, and not in a testing mode, awaiting activation.)

An MPSCS Site will only carry radio traffic from a talkgroup if there is a radio that is affiliated with that site and tuned to that talkgroup... with few exceptions. For example if you wanted to listen to Westland PD you would need to monitor the wayne county simulcast site. The only time you will hear them on another site is if someone has a radio tuned to Westland PD and is affiliated with another site. If you are listening to an agency that is near the border of two sites (for example Livonia FD is near the border of the Wayne county simulcast site and the Northville site), then you will frequently hear that agency on both sites as the radio affiliate back and forth between the two sites.
So the only way you will hear an agency is to monitor their closest (or possibly a neighbor) MPSCS site. Does not matter if you are in the same zone or a different zone.

i'm within 10 miles of the Atlanta tower an if i do a mpscs trunk search i can pick up TG hits that are from the gaylord area but if i do a Gaylord tower search i get nothing hardly at all. Gaylords tover is i guess 20 miles out.

Are you actually receiving the Gaylord site CC?

sure doesn't seem like i'm getting anything other than mio an atlanta 2 towers

The distance is over 100 miles (Clinton county to St. Clair County). I don't even think my 10 element Yagi at 100 feet would pull in that distance.
But "IF" Conditions were perfect you never know.

What is the terrain like, between you and the Gaylord site? 800MHz is quickly attenuated by foliage, and any tall object/hill can block the signal. 20 miles is a workable distance, if you have a clear line of sight to the site.

terrain is mostly level few hills nothing over 100' same withe area to the Atlanta 2 an the Mio towers, Mio tower i will say is higher. Just seems odd i get nothing at all off gaylord ,waters towers but pick up hits off atlanta2 tower for Gaylord units. I did an allnight search of gaylord tower the other night so in 8 hrs got nothing?

Where i'm at is se of Lewiston in Nw oscoda county over lapped by Lovells, mio an Atlanta 2 towers using a 800mhz discone on a 35' tower
