MRI DT3 scanning not catching all properties

I have the MRI system in my 436HP. I confirmed all the groups and frequencies match what's in RR including LCN and color. The system was imported directly from RR with Proscan.

I left it overnight and noticed that Proscan doesn't show a log of any traffic from MGM Grand or Bellagio at all.

Any thoughts?

All the services types are on, and I'm seeing all the service types from the other properties (they appear to all be Security and Business) and I'm actually closer to MGM than the other properties.

Here's what I see from Prowatch from 12-15 hour or so of monitoring. It was Friday night, so I'm pretty sure there was actual traffic.

I was in NYNY parking garage last night trying to monitor MGM DT3. Most of the traffic I heard was 7000x talkgroups Excalibur ? Not much if at all MGM? Maybe there were changes and not exactly what we have in the rrdb? Time for some site search and find scanning.

Been keeping Proscan logging up for the weekend. I've seen all the properties listed on the system except MGM and Bellagio.

I'm nearby, so I can poke around . I'm still trying to figure this 436HP out, though. It's a pretty big change from my recently-fallen Pro-25

Since they combined under one system, never got all properties. 3 out of 8 at home. 2 out of 8 at work which is closer. I have gotten Bellagio, Excalibur and MGM Grand. Supposedly Uniden hasn’t updated DT3 sites on their database .
Tried Bellagio with search CC got nothing even through I have an discovery log from a few weeks back.

Scanned MGM for a few hours today not a peep. I searched the FCC WPNY614. There’s a different freq on that list. 937.25 not 937.025. I loaded that into the scanner and will scan for results.

Yea, there's a few other difference between the FCC list and the RR list I've been trying to figure out.

RR has 937.0125 and 937.0250 that the FCC list doesn't have, and the FCC list has 938.2125, 937.2500, and 938.2250 that RR doesn't have.

My guess of most likely typos is that 937.0125 in RR is supposed to be .2125 and the 937.0250 in RR i supposed to be .2500. The 938.2250 is just missing from RR.

I managed to catch tg 20014, 20107, 20001,20003, 20015,20044, 20071 on 939.55 CC5. Also found CC5 on 939.5375 and 936.3625

Interesting. 935.875 is in ULS for call sign KNNF751, which is registered to Mirage Resorts. It's effective date is July 24, which is odd considering that's a week after the property closed.

So, I'm sure there's still channels missing. Given that a few are from licenses issued to other properties, I'm gonna try to get everything.

I'm a little new when it comes to the newer trunking systems, but could I just grab all the frequencies I can find for the various different properties and search them like this guide outlines? Just add 'em all and see what falls out?

My method was to set a custom search with freq limits from 934 to 942. Then I just watched all day and wrote down the NET S16 CC5 activity taking note of those freqs. I loaded those into my fav list for MGM grand site 2. Then I did a system status run on that list and it showed it was getting 16 freqs on color code 5. So yes there must more out there but maybe not used as much? They have to use them for us to find them.

936.3625 should be LCN 2109
939.8125 looks wrong - to keep it with the others in the same band plan LCN should be 2385

Thank You! I will enter that info and test drive it. My LCN finder function is probably confused from where I had it set up at the airport under the terminal. No clear line of sight. The custom search worked pretty good considering the concrete and steel in the way.

Hey Don, just a suggestion... Make the search range from 935-940. That is the true range where the channels are. I set mine up using an Excel spreadsheet and start at 935.000 and then 935.0125, and drag all way down until 939.9875. Set the CC for 5 and slot and TG to *. If you could also do it for CC3, Bellagio. There seems to be some discrepancy with that system also. I have my radio all set to do this when I get out there but you beat me to it! :) I attached my xls spreadsheet that I import into EZScan

I think Bellagio I’ll have to get closer? Not able to track the system from my house. 7 miles away. Not getting good results from custom scanning.

So far Bellagio Net 16 Site 3 CC3
FREQ / LCN

936.325. 2106
936.4125 2113

I’ve loaded these in my scanner and once I got LCN finder done it’s working.

939.625 = 2370
Notice the list of LCN's rises in proportion to frequency. So the LCN for 939.8375 should be higher than for 939.625. Sometimes the Uniden LCN finder will lie to you.
