Yes, it is free. But you are paying for it subconciously. You'll notice that there are often more advertisements than articles.

nothing much is free anymore so this is great :) :D

Trade magazines are almost always free.

Thats why they call them "rags"!

Technically, they’re free to those in the business. I don’t know how they verify whether you are actually in the business or not, or even if they attempt to.

They verify it by the little card you fill out and sign. ALl they want is to have great statistices in their distribution database to show to advertisers to pump up rates.

They don't care if the CEO/Cheif Enginer/Responsible for 10,000 radio/Budget of $10,000,000, is realy a kid with a broken scanner!

Don't worry, most here won't be buying the kind of equipment advertised.

I've been getting MRT for almost a year. It's free to those that qualify. You can just make stuff up to qualify. They've never called or emailed me about my "BUSINESS". I think it's a great magazine for the price. Yes, there are allot of ads but it is ad supported and I like them because the ads showcase new equipment and technologies available in the land mobile market.

Every industry has trade mags.

If you want, you can kill your postman, and a few trees, by signing up for them.

WHat do you want to learn about?
Firefighting equipment?
Police Equipment?
Long Haul Trucking??
Printing?
Etc, Etc, Etc
