Hi all,

Just want to share, Russian developers made the Msi001 (the same chip as used in SDRPlay) based autonomous SDR receiver.

Design looks a bit ugly (imho) yet, but its a prototype, and the idea in generay is pretty cool. Msi001 is not DDC for sure, but its cheaper because of that.

Youtube video (in Russian):

I am not the owner of this project and I have no idea about the price or availability yet.

Now that's something I would be interested in if it was to be a final product. They could market that as a low cost shortwave receiver. Hopefully available via Amazon Prime.

Its not only a shortwave, Msi001 can work from 150KHz to 1GHz.

I am not sure that Amazon is working with russian companies, but maybe it will be available on Ebay.

I've attached schematic, BOM and beta firmware, that was published on the russian forum CQHAM.
