I can remember when Aunt Jenny was governor and the troops were on "stationary patrol" sitting in the crossovers of I-75 as the state could not afford the fuel for patrol units and up here limited them to 70 miles per shift. And that is the exact way they responded to dispatch when status checked. Back then emergency managers was not even thought of and job situation was better than what it is now. I sure hope these helicopters get good fuel economy. Did I miss an era of time here? Sure seems like the state is following the American Government spending money that they think they have.

Does anyone know what TGID or frequencies they will use for air-to-air and air-to-ground?

They use 1261 & 1262 to talk back to MSP Ops in Lansing; those are both MSP Statewide Air/K9 TG's. (I have heard them on 1261 a couple of times.)

They also have capability on any MSP TG that might be relevant to the area in which they are operating.
