Have you updated your data base files on the SD card lately? You might try that and then loading the updated files to your scanner.

..and which zip code are you importing? I'd like to do the same import and see what systems/sites are being imported for that zip... This and the questions above will help us better answer your questions....

PSR-800: msp missing from files?

I normally add the MSP talk groups manually to my programming. The problem is if you look at the RR database the MSP talk groups are not listed in county or city section of the MPSCS, they are at the top of the list by district (so you have to figure out what district you're in). Some have been listed and talked about in the Michigan section of the forums too. Also when you do listen to MSP units checking into service as soon as they check in they switch over to the local county system. For example in my area they check in on the MSP talk group then switch over and take calls from Genesee County central or the City of Flint not the state police talk group. You may have to listen to five different take groups to hear units in your area. In Livingston county they check in with station 10 MSP then switch to Livingston County Central and are units that start with 12xxx. In Genesee County they are 35xxx units so it can be complicated. You may be hearing them and not even know it. In Oakland County they do check in with MSP station 20 and get most all of there calls on the MSP talk group and don't switch other then if they get a call in the Pontiac area some MSP units carry a County Prep if they need to switch over to talk to them.

MSP units in Washtenaw County are dispatched by Washtenaw Metro Dispatch, on 81 Metro West. They operate out of the Brighton post, so they are 12 series patrols.
