MT-1000 VHF Scan List Questions

I am getting a MT-1000 and i have the software looking at it to get an idea of how i want to program it, i am getting at 16ch verison, i am told only 8ch can be in the scan list, is there anyway to get all 16 or have atleast more than 8 in the scan list, thanks

Most of the motos that are modern can scan 16 in conventional mode. Not sure on the MT series.

Are you using the "page down" key on that screen if it's there?

Scanlist Programming for the MT1000

This is a procedure for manual SCAN list programming at MT1000. As you know, a 16ch model of MT1000 can scan 8 ch. These 8ch can be programmed with RSS software.

i didnt know if there was something you could do to make more then 8ch scan, i know some people do that hex edit, i dont anything about that, i would get completely lost doing something like that, haha, thanks anyways

buy a KENWOOD tk-2170.you can scan up to 128 ch's and 128 zone's.very flexible.as good as a motorola.not associated with kenwood.just my personal opinion.

if i had the money, but i dont, i just have this old radio, plus it was free, work is upgrading, so i couldnt beat the price, lol

You can actually make it 'scan' 9 freqs, by making one of them the priority,m and adding the other 8 to the list.

The scan list is programmable by the top switch, and the side & transmit buttons.

Make sure user defined scan is enabled in the RSS.

Even the 99 channel MT1000's will only scan a maximum of 8 channels, but like code03 said, you can actually monitor 9 at a time by making one the priority channel.
