Hi!
I’m a snow groomer, and my maintenance director challenged me to figure out the mountain frequencies that our department uses. We have the all mountain channel, but we also have some additional channels that don’t appear on any of the databases I can find. I need help figuring out how to find them. Yes, I can scan, but I don’t know how to do it the right way, with my Baofeng UV17R-Pros. I’m just getting started in all of this.

if you have access to a uniden newer gen scanner w/close call you can usually find all channels by txing w/a working official radio, or alternatively many of us here bought a handheld fx counter that did the trick , lastly find out whom local radio shop was and ask them to obtain a copy of programming sheet used ( i believe in us you put name of shop on radio license? try that)
the license BTW shows trunked , analog or DMR (i dunno if ur 17R will cover that)

Since it appears to be digital you could have many channels but only use the 2 frequency pairs the entire time -- depending on how it's configured.

Technically you just have the four frequencies. (See the license above.)
