Multiple antennas simultaneously connected to scanner?

Hello,

Given that some antennae are better with low band and others with high band, etc., is it possible to create a reverse splitter of sorts where you could have 2 or 3 different antennae connected to the same scanner? The idea is having one antenna that covers each specific band?

For example, here is what I’m working with: Scanner: Uniden SR30C
Antenna: Diamond RH77CA

My location: Menlo Park/Atherton border not near any large structures.

Trying to listen to:
CHP golden gate: 42.080 (decently readable to unreadable at times)
Menlo Park Police: 488.3375 (excellent)
SMC Fire Control 1: 153.890 (excellent)
Stanford Life Flight Tower: 130.050 (decently readable)

Any advice or something obvious I’m not doing right?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try and get a single 42Mhz antenna and it will be so large that it probably will still receive all the other systems.
Use hose clamps to attach to a pole and coax with a PL259 and a BNC at the other end or a PL259 to BNC adapter or with this: SO239 Magnetic Antenna Mount Base PL259 Plug & 5M RG-58 Cable For Mobile Radio | eBay

Your frequencies seems to work well with a cheap $50 Tram discone antenna indoors that have an adjustable top element for the 42MHz frequency.

you may run into issues with multiple antennas on the same scanner at the same time, however a single multi band antenna will be better off.

I would get an old Antenna Specialists MON series antenna which covers VHF lo, VHF, UHF and 800MHz. It does ok over the VHF air band but not as good compared to a dedicated VHF air antenna. This is one of maybe two multiband mobile scanner antennas that includes the VHF lo band and it works very well there.
