I have several scanner with different problems that need to be fixed: BC-200,235,245 and 1 16 channel programable BC and RS scanners ( cannot remember the #'s ). Can these units still be fixed by the appropriate facility ?

Thank you,
Mark

Probably... It just depends on how much it will cost. Some may be easy, and others might cost more then it's worth. I think there's info on the Uniden site for their repair. If you have battery problems, that can be taken care of by a local battery shop.

If the 16-channel scanner is an Electra/Bearcat model (the old BC210 or early BC800XLT's were pre-Uniden units) you're out of luck. You might want to try eBay for a non-working model to swap parts, although the green fluorescent displays on many of those old units are approaching their ages of life expectancy. I recently gave someone a BC800XLT that works fine, but the display had gotten really "weak."
