It sounds like a bunch of preppers operating a MURS repeater on 151.940 MHz in the Marysville area.
Do not know the input frequency, but the signal is strong in my area.
Anyone know who is behind this.

A MURS repeater? Wow! Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that isn't allowed.

Curious to know where they put it up. On the top of the Buttes, perhaps? Or maybe the top of the Hart building?

is it a SIMPLEX, single frequency repeater? How to tell? The replies to messages will be spaced out and you may here a message twice.

Maybe some clues here:

My guess is that they are using an input of another "channel" 3. CB channel 3, FRS channel 3 or GMRS channel 3 (how dare they!) If not, scan all of the other MURS channels.

Duplex repeaters are certainly possible (albeit incredibly illegal), with a channel from 1-3 as one side of the pair and a channel from 4-5 as the other side. There's a nearly 3 MHz gap between those.

It is a repeater, not a simplex repeater. They sound kinda like ham / prepper types. No call signs, just handles.
I'll continue to monitor and try to determine the tones and input frequency.

Good point and preppers like CTCSS 156.7 Hz
