Anyone using MURS in the Bay Area?

Haha yes it's pretty quiet-But id imagine if I go up to a location like CSM id hear more activity.

I hear this dtmf beeping on 154.600. It comes in sets of about 3 or 4 I think. I have heard this beeping in different areas, but can't really hear voices that might be using the system with those dtmf beeps.

I know like Walmart and Taco Bell with tones, Uses 154.600 and others also uses it. with a 2 meter Beam I can hear alot of people using 154.600 and not that much on the other Murs Freqs.


so I know the Murs is Booming around here Carrollton.

I hear alot of annoying "data" tones on 151.820 with PL of 131.8 here in the Northbay....Marin county is where it happens the most. As I get closer to the bay it gets stronger...Weird to say the least.

I have heard a walmart using 154.570, a costco using 154.570, think (may have been.600). I like using MURS, but the interference bugs me.

Downtown SF has activity on 154.570 for the new bus terminal. And then late at night I hear some guy chatting up like it was a CB radio .... wait, it is CB, ain't it?

I've heard the cemeteries on the same freq while I was in SSF one time. I guess it wasn't a DEAD channel

I scan the other MURS freq's here in downtown, but have not heard anything. And I'm on the 10th floor, so I'd catch some decent traffic.

In sac there a guy and girl on 154.600.nac 293 p 25. sometimes it encrypted.
