I’ve been a scanner listener and a flight simulator hobbyist since I was 13 years old. Now at 40, I’ve expanded my desk into a dream come true. I combined the best of both worlds into one.

VERY Nice...I bet it's fun listening to aircraft on the Scanner while playing FlightSim X...

Nice setup.
I'm into flightsimming as well. Used to be heavily into modifying the AI traffic in FS2004. I need to get me a new PC before I can run FSX. Soon I hope!

look back upper left, bet there are no wireless dead spots either. I should ask him his ssid and try to log from here-lol!!! I'm actually jealous, I use the new 2wire system and the antenna is internal so buying one of the 7db antennas is useless. I get great coverage now that I turned the modem/router power up to 10. but I'd still like the option. and your 3 screen set up is awesome. I used something like that with my old video editing system.

Thanks for the comments. I took a few shots with the flash but it lite up on the screens. I'll take some tomorrow with flight sim on the screens. I love these scanners. Now I can hear all the action.

I'm big time FS2004 flyer. I spend most of my time flying for an online VA when I have the time. I use two computers to run all the programs for FS2004. I tired FSX but even my highend system struggles some.

sorry to go off topic, but is it possible to hook 2 monitors up together?

By hooking up two monitors, do you mean run them off the same video card? Then yes you can. Most new video cards have dual video out connections. Before dual video, you could also add a second video card to your system. If you have an older system, you could use one AGP card and one PCI card.

Great setup.

I flight sim as well and I am envious of your setup. I also tried FSX on a higher end system and it dogged. Ah well, off the get another computer I guess.

I also see you like the Hercybirds... great aircraft.

Nice job and looks like a fine place to spend an evening simming.

I guess that would depend on the application you want to use it for. At work we have dual computer screens hooked up to the same PC box. One screen is used for displaying the access control system and the other one is just for the internet. The cool thing is you can move the mouse arrow from one screen onto the other.

So yes, it is possible.

If you have Windows XP and after the second video card is installed, right-click on your desktop and choose properties. Next, click on the settings tab, go to the bottom and check: "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor".

Your done.
