sloop - your shack looks very professional and I really like it. Someday I hope to get there. I have insulated brass thru-walls for ladder lines, as well as coax for 2 and 6 meter, as I have four different antennas. I did not want to run all that stuff thru the walls in the house. So I built mine in a corner of my shop, which was actually in a better location anyway for ladder line to feed my 160m full-wave sky loop and inverted V dipole resonant on 80m.
I do spend a fair amount of time on 11 meter sideband too, and have a Uniden Bearcat 980SSB that I'm going to install in there when I get time. I also don't have a power supply but instead power the station with two marine deep cycle batteries that are outside the shack. I am going to get some paneling for the walls to make the room more presentable.
I have been working all the digital modes to learn more about that and go to take my General class test on Jan 10.
When I saw your shack, I realized I have a long ways to go yet!
