I had a Honda generator and a battery. Used the battery until discharged and then charged it with the generator. The Alinco is great. Light weight and runs like a champ. Also has 2 USB and cigarette plug. Well worth the money.

Looks good, I did something like yours.

I have the option to run off of the 120 volt power supply or a power cable that comes out the rear of the unit and has some clamps on it to connect to a battery. I enjoy using mine. I use a rig runner inside to protect all the radios and also have 3 cooling fans in the rear to keep the air moving.

Nice setup. Would like a volt/amp meter when the battery itself is in use, but it would need to be the right size to fit.

Mine is also a Gator box. They make several different styles and sizes. I got mine from a local shop that sells DJ equipment ect. These are built for audio equipment but work awesome for radios. There are so many cool things you can get for rack mount accessories, Fans storage drawers power conditioners ect. The furman power conditioner in my go box has pull out lights for night operation and it works great.
