Here is my computer/scanner desk. The handhelds are a Pro 95 and Pro 97, on the shelf are two BCT8 units, Pro 2021, Pro 2032, and Pro 2041.

I agree with Steve, nice and organized. Simple but has all the things you need, including an LCD (I still use 19" CRT that is always in my way).

I like it. Good job!

I'm pretty convinced that Michigan, and Detroit in particular, has the highest concentration of scanner listeners.

the fact that he admins a site with 100k scanner listeners and can look at statistics :p

I agree, and I'll tell you why - scanning (and to the same extent, radio in general) is popular in northern and cold climates because the winters are long and dark, and radio is an excellent hobby for that. Also, winter weather is pretty severe and it's good to keep in touch during stuff like that.

You ever notice who creates those beautiful homebrew HF ssb transcievers? those DDS synth rigs? 2.4 ghz transverters? Swedes, Finns, Germans. Why? They're stuck inside for 10 months a year, might as well wield a soldering iron. :) UK homebrewers the same to a lesser extent, i'm sure if you lived there and soldered ten parts every rainy day you'd have an IC-7800 within a year.

Nope, no outdoor antennas. I wouldn't mind installing one but the house doesn't belong to me.

If he's like me, he looked at the map above the monitor..
"Detr.."....Must be Detroit! At least I thought so 'til I had a closer look.

Yeah it's an installation map of Fort Detrick, Maryland. Although "Fort Detroit" has a nice ring to it.
