I've done several revisions to my Sport Trac, but I think I'm finished with it (for the time being!)!

Radio/Scanners:

Top is RH96 connected to a 996T (mounted behind back seat) VHF usage.
Middle is RH96 connected to 396XT (mounted at back of console) 800 usage.
Bottom is Kenwood TK-830(G) (mounted behind back seat) UHF usage
I use the Kenwood for GMRS as well as monitoring local UHF.

Antennas:

Right is high gain UHF
Center is multiband for 800
Left is multiband for VHF

I also carry either a /\/\ CP-185 UHF or Kenwood TK-372 UHF for out of vehicle GMRS.

Couple different views of the setup and antennas!

As b7spectra's friend, you can't imagine how much work he's done on his mobile installation to get it to this point. He has changed around his equipment several times but this is really a very nice installation job.

NICE WORK MIKE!!!

Awesome Install Mike!

I really like the angling of the heads so that they sweep upwards for a nice viewing angle.
Very effective use of the available space.

Your multi band antenna is the same as used here, which works very well with the 996T.

Using the RH-96 heads for the scanners, did you modify the remote head so you can control volume? If not, how do make on the fly adjustments?

The remote heads do control the scanners completely. Volume, lockout, the whole nine yards.

The heads are all held together with grounding straps. I sprayed them black to match everything and they don't wiggle one bit.

I found a remote VHF Spectra A7 on eBay. Looks like I might have to make a purchase.

My system is in the Sales section - Motorola Spectra A9 UHF Remote Complete - RadioReference Classifieds

I'm going cut throat pricing on it - $115 shipped CONUS.
