Pro-433, Pro-2052, Pro-97 (the 433 & 97 on a Duplexer to a Shack Discone antenna 40 feet above the Earth with little Obstruction.)

The 433 was actually pulling stuff in better, but it dosn't display a CTCSS or DCS tone. Might be time to by Win Tone so I can see the CTCSS activity.

I've got a Pro-2036 That I use almost exclusively for Fed band (yeah it didn't make me happy when I realized my expensive Pro-96 does have the correct step sizes for feds). I am considering buying Win Tone so I can use it to DX. I think my Pro-96 may be a little overloaded when DXing because I have it connected to a D130J about 20 ft. above earth. Otherwise it works well with the D130J.

Ideally I'd buy a PSR600, but the finances don't permit it right now.

Just got to thinking, is 151.0775- 97.4 possibly a TXDOT freq that I logged on 3/15? I noticed it is a valid freq. for many areas on TXDOT but is 97.4 a known PL for anywhere?

I would say it would more than likely be TXDOT...97.4 isn't a known PL listed in the Database but that just means no one has submitted it yet. Only other license for 151.0775 in Texas is the City of Whitehouse PD (Smith Co) but they have a 365 DPL as i can hear them from here...

97.4 would in most circumstances have me tell you, you were hearing ODOT out of Oklahoma, But since recent days storms we have all seen (or heard) TXDOT useing some new PL Tones. I'd suggest you listen to that site the best you can and try and figure out what area they are in. 77.0 has become the new tone for Fannin Co. 203.5 is being heard for Red River County. So now I wouldn't rule out that as being a part of the TXDOT line-up. I would be interested in knowing where it belongs though.

Will keep my ears on it and see.

I don't usually receive it though (as it was during tropo), so any help would be welcomed.

Sorry for the late reply..

158.8200 - Fire dispatching (10100 I-45)
This is Montgomery County Fire Dispatch "Frequency 1," north of Houston. It dispatches every fire department in Montgomery County except for Conroe. PL is 107.2.

ok, Now who is this: 453.7000 Talking about 1800 JFK & Continentel would'nt let him on the plane, he's back at the Marriott????
Houston PD B10 - Bush Intercontinental Ops. PL is 127.3 (note, this is the only HPD channel not using 123.0.) You're doing pretty good if you can hear this up north of Dallas, because it's not too terribly high-powered.
